Hello.
Over 10 years ago, I combined my love of photography with my interest in Melbourne’s bustling food scene to create my food photography business, The Hungry Lens. I love to shoot not just the food but also the wonderful people and stories that make it all happen.
When I’m not on the road creating yummy content, I’m planning my next travel photography adventure or having brunch (and too much coffee) with friends.
I look forward to visiting you soon,
Lauren

MELBOURNE

This woman is incredible! Aside from being *so* lovely and super easy to work with (clear and timely communication end-to-end on every shoot / project without fail) Lauren is such an experienced and talented Food Photographer. The way she sets up the shots, for flat lays or for close ups, you just know she KNOWS what she is doing and honestly the images speak for themselves. I've collaborated with her probably 5 or 6 times now across wine bars, cafes, and restaurants and she nails the brief every time. Exceeds it, in fact. Cannot rate her high enough!

Who I work with
I’ve worked all over Melbourne and beyond for restaurants, cafes, wineries, food trucks, caterers, delis, bakeries, markets, festivals…… (you get the picture) and I also shoot regularly for several marketing agencies. I happily shoot either alone, or alongside social media managers as they create phone reels, videographers, or influencers creating content.

Why The Hungry Lens?
I love capturing images that reflect your brand; whether they be fun and a little bit messy, or more moody and refined. I work quickly and creatively to capture not just the planned shots but also the candid and unexpected moments that make your place unique and inviting. With years of experience, I know how to make food look it’s most irresistible, drinks looks their most tempting, and venues look their most inviting.
